About Brian Bookert
I founded Paragon Alliance to empower homeowners facing foreclosure with real, compassionate alternatives. We specialize in buying single-family homes before they go to auction in Richland and York Counties, South Carolina, and Gaston County, North Carolina. Our goal is simple: help you get cash fast, protect your credit, avoid the stress of public auction, and move forward with peace of mind.
My Military Service
I proudly served in the United States Navy from 1997 to 2003 as a linguist with a Top Secret security clearance. My work involved critical translations that supported operations during the Iraq War, which began in 2003. While I was not deployed to Iraq itself, the intelligence I helped provide directly aided our forces during that conflict. I’m honored to have served my country and carry those values of integrity, discipline, and service into everything I do today.
My Real Estate Journey
I entered real estate in 2019 after completing intensive training with Donna Bauer, one of the nation’s two most respected experts in mortgage-note investing (alongside Eddie Speed). I not only took her course but worked directly with Donna on multiple projects, mastering the buying, selling, servicing, and restructuring of fair mortgage notes.
That same year I renovated and flipped my first home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Since then I have purchased and sold 12-15 properties-most of them pre-foreclosure or mortgage-free homes. Every transaction is personal to me because I’ve seen how financial hardship can quietly overwhelm good people.
One story that stays with me is Annette’s. Fifteen years after her husband passed, she discovered the home was still in her name and heading toward foreclosure. She had no idea. We bought the house for $10,000 cash, gave her family immediate relief, and prevented what would have been over a decade of credit damage.
Another time, a recently divorced man learned-only after we reached out-that his ex-wife had left him with a home already in foreclosure. He was stunned. We located the property, paid him a fair cash amount he never expected, and he used it to take a much-needed vacation and start fresh.
